Silk Evening Dress, ca. 1923

This custom-made dress belonged to Katharine Bixby Hotchkis. In her diary she wrote about living in two worlds: cattle ranching by day, and attending high society social events by night.

Sterling silver hand mirror, hair brush, and jar from a twelve-piece dresser set that belonged to Katharine Bixby Hotchkis. All items are monogrammed “KBH” and were likely received as a wedding gift. Set was made by R. Blackinton & Co.
