A waffle iron is a cast-iron tool used to cook waffles over a fire or stovetop. This particular waffle iron was designed to sit on a stove burner. This waffle iron is featured in Creating Homes: Women’s Domestic Labor of the 19th and 20th century, an exhibit that explores domestic ideology in America and how it impacted different groups of women and girls.
