These traditional hand shears were used for shearing the woollen fleeces from sheep, or for shearing grass. Blade shears like these were used to cut the wool as close to the skin as possible during annual shearings. Today, most shearers utilize machine shears, but blade shears are sometimes used. Located in the furniture storage room.
