Child’s Velocipede

Date: 1860s

A velocipede refers to any human-powered land transportation device, with the most familiar being the bicycle. Here, the velocipede is a child’s tricycle in the form of a horse. This toy would allow any child to ride their own “horse” around the property. This tricycle can be found inside the children’s room.
