Children’s Room Bed

Date: 1878–1890

This twin bed is located in the children’s room and is in the late Victorian Eastlake style of household design. It is originally from Lewellyn Bixby’s Hill Street house in Los Angeles. Sarah, Nan, Harry L. and Llewellyn (Sr.) may have slept in this bed over the years, and written on the back side of headboard in pencil is script notation “L Bixby.”
