In Honor of Julia Bogany

Rancho Los Cerritos mourns the passing of Julia Bogany. We had the privilege of collaborating with Ms. Bogany on our most recent exhibit, Tevaaxa’nga to Today: Stories of the Tongva People as well as on children’s programming related to the exhibit. Julia Bogany shared her knowledge and wisdom with the curatorial team for the exhibit’s development, generously loaned personal objects to be included for display, and led a wonderful educational workshop on the Tongva language at our site. Ms. Bogany was dedicated to educating the public about the Tongva, and Rancho Los Cerritos was one of the many local organizations she worked with. We honor Julia Bogany’s memory and express our deep condolences to her family. Please follow these links to learn more about Julia Bogany’s work and legacy.
