175th Public Celebration

Celebrate the Rancho’s 175th anniversary with food, music, art, and more. The ceremony will include a Brewery Knolls beer garden featuring Liberation Brewing, food vendors, a 175th birthday cake-cutting ceremony led by special guest, Eighth District Councilmember Al Austin, music by Long Beach Poly High School Jazz Combo and Bernie Pearl Blues Band, a live painting of the adobe home by Copeland Holt, tours of the house, and an art contest.
Guests arriving in the 10 o’clock hour can help cheer participants as they arrive at the site upon completion of the 2nd Annual Ranchos Walk (event sponsored by the City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability).
My Long Beach Art Contest
The Rancho’s 175th art contest is currently accepting entries that fit the theme “My Long Beach” in 2D, 3D, photography and video mediums. Free to enter; open to all current K-12 students. To submit for consideration, please submit your entry as instructed below, or email a photo / e-file of your artwork to RLCartcontest175@gmail.com. Winners will be announced at the celebration. The deadline for all entries is Sunday, September 1. More Information
