Corazón y Tierra: Portraits of Yesterday

Sunday, June 28 | 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.

Join Rancho Los Cerritos for Corazón y Tierra: Portraits of Yesterday, a hands-on artist workshop connected to our current exhibition, Seeds of Resilience: Barrio Americano.

Hely Omar Gonazlez showcasing artwork at outdoor event.

Led by Long Beach-based painter Hely Omar González, this all-ages workshop introduces participants to painting from reference using archival imagery from Rancho Los Cerritos. Inspired by 20th-century Mexican and Mexican American iconography and symbols, participants will create their own artwork while reflecting on memory, cultural identity, and the stories carried through images.

Tickets are $15 with discounts available for RLC members and volunteers. Reserve your spot:
