Artist Workshop with Lorenzo Baker; one of the five artists featured in Rancho Los Cerritos’ current exhibit: “Untold Legacies: Rethinking the American Cowboy”.
Inspired by the Black and Latinx histories of the Old West, workshop participants will learn how to create a rhinestone painting using craft materials. Learn about significant historical figures and prominent cowboys from the American West. The workshop highlights hidden histories of the American West. Emphasizing the contributions made by Black and Latinx people, the workshop allows visitors to create their own versions of history, offering guest agency and the ability to interpret the distant past for themselves.
