Outdoor STEM Ed Fun @ Ranchos Los Cerritos
May 20 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The next collaborative workshop between Shared Science and Rancho Los Cerritos – STEM Fun @ RLC – will take place at RLC on Thursday, May 20, 2:30-4:30 pm. Guided by RLC educators, students will learn why adobes have to be maintained regularly and how to repair these sun-dried bricks when rain takes command. Alongside a Shared Science instructor, students will also explore how water can lead to erosion and experiment with different ways of minimizing that type of environmental damage. This in-person workshop is designed for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Social distancing and masks are required, as are play clothes (adobe mud is messy fun!). All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The fee is $12 per participant. Space is limited.
