Rancho on the Road — Tevaaxa’nga (Tevahanga) to Today: Native History at Rancho Los Cerritos

Join Rancho Los Cerritos at Los Altos Neighborhood Library for a special lecture about the Native American history of Rancho Los Cerritos, presented by the Rancho’s Curator, Sarah Wolk FitzGerald.

Featuring highlights from the Rancho’s newest exhibit celebrating Tongva (Gabrielino) history and culture, this talk will focus on the history of Tevaaxa’nga (the village located on land that would become Rancho Los Cerritos), as well as the experiences and contributions of the Native Americans who worked at the Rancho when it was a cattle ranch in the mid-nineteenth century.

This event takes place in the Community Room. Light refreshments will be served.
