Rancho Los Cerritos is proud to announce the opening of our newest exhibition, Untold Legacies: Rethinking the American Cowboy. Situated in RLC’s Visitor Center, the exhibition features historical elements, contemporary artwork, and interactive displays that highlight diverse narratives of the West and challenge the myth of who a cowboy is. Discover the rich histories of Mexican, Indigenous, and African American cowboys and their role in the establishment and prosperity of the West. Untold Legacies also offers visitors a chance to learn about the resurgence of BIPOC cowboys in community-led equestrian groups and popular culture.
