 – 6:00 PM\nThrough a series of installations reflecting an early twentie
 th‑century barrio\, Seeds of Resilience: Barrio Americano centers Mexi
 can American histories by exploring everyday spaces that fostered communit
 y\, cultural preservation\, and continued resistance in the face of discri
 mination. Barrio Americano offers insight into how people organized their 
 lives\, supported one another\, and asserted dignity within challenging so
 cial and economic conditions.\n\nThis exhibition reflects Rancho Los Cerri
 tos’ ongoing commitment to sharing inclusive histories and creating spac
 e for learning and dialogue across generations. It also contributes to a c
 itywide reflection on the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independ
 ence through the shared Seeds of Resilience initiative\, with partner inst
 itutions presenting complementary exhibitions exploring the region’s his
 tories in 2026.\nOpening Weekend | February 7\, 2026\nRancho Los Cerritos 
 will host an opening day celebration on Saturday\, February 7 from 3:00 - 
 6:00p.m.\, and the site will be closed to visitors prior to that time. The
  opening day celebration will include crafts and children’s activities\,
  tours of the historic adobe home\, and coffee and pastries courtesy of Th
 e Breakfast Bar\, inspired by sobremesa—the tradition of lingering toget
 her to share time and conversation.\nRSVP for the opening weekend.\n\n\n\n
